Needed to do something with a lot of colour after finishing quite a brown painting. I love this palette of colours! The way the feathers came out made me think of petals, hence the title. Acrylic gouache on canvas panel. 40x30cm

I'm an acrylic painter finally getting started again after a long break while my children were small. Birds and animals are my favourite (currently only, subjects), and despite planning to start small my paintings are rapidly increasing in size as I regain confidence!
